Substitute
Christianity: The Lifeless Facade
The idea of a
substitute is one that we are accustomed to and seem to readily
allow. Whether we’re
talking about sunglasses, a watch or cereal brands, we willingly
accept the generic. Most
people would find it difficult to determine the difference between
the genuine and the generic watches or sunglasses.
However, many people can definitely tell the difference
between the “name brand” cereal and its generic counterpart.
How can some people tell the difference while others cannot? The answer lies in experience. If they have tasted the real thing, the substitute simply
does not satisfy! |

I’m not convinced
that genuine Christian life can be fully explained.
I am, however, absolutely convinced that a genuine Christian
life can be fully experienced!
A person who has experienced a genuine walk with Christ over
time can more readily identify a person who merely lives behind a façade. (more) |
