Hello, my name is Niki Ballentine. I became a Christian April 12, 1999-at least, I thought I did. I lived a lie for two years and didn't realize it until Centri-Break 2001. The words that Jon Gillis spoke made me realize that I wasn't really saved. The last night I was in Florida, April 12, 2001, I went and talked to Jon. He told me what I had to do to become a Christian and talked with me about some things that I wasn't sure about. Afterwards, I went off by myself and talked with God and asked Jesus into my heart. I have never felt happier in my entire life! The hardest thing to do, though, was admit to my church that I had lived a lie for two years. On May 20, 2001 I will be baptized for a second time, only this time it will be for real! Bethany Gilmer, one of my best friends, has been really encouraging and supportive of me throughout this whole thing. I truly think that if God had never sent her my way, I would never have become so active in my church and youth group. She has been one of the biggest Christian influences and witnesses in my life, but to God be the glory, great things He has done!
