I hated it because I knew that God did not want me there. At that point, I didn't know why. I figured, it was a Christian school, I could become a teacher, and I could stay close to my friends and my boy friend. All good reasons to go to this college. Well, I realized that I had never asked God if that was where He wanted me. Not that God was taking me away because I hadn't asked, but because that was never His plan. He knew that I needed to be somewhere else. After I finally realized this, I began to pray that God would show me where He wanted me to go. Two months later, I received an application to Southern. I had never even heard of it before and it was only one hour away from my house. So, to make a long story longer, I got accepted at SWU and I know that I am in God's plan. I have made wonderful new friends here (not that I lost the old ones), I have grown so much spiritually here, I have learned to fully rely on God. He knew what I needed and I am so glad that I finally listened to Him. I know that this story is long, but I just wanted to share with you one of the lower times in my life. (more)
