Elizabeth M. - Louisiana
(continued)
It took me one whole month to make the decision that I
thought that I had already made. It was the same day of the Lord's Supper
and I really felt guilty that I had been taking the bread and the grape
juice for so long for the wrong reasons. I was then baptized on August 10,
2000. About three or four months later I felt God calling me again, he
wanted me to commit my life to be a missionary as a career. I said so many
times okay God I'll do it but I really don't have to tell anyone that way
if something doesn't work out, I won't look like this bad person or
anything. Well God said no that's not enough, I want a commitment. So when
I was at Centrifuge at Carson Newman college on June 2-8th I heard Jon
Gillis preach. I had been praying that Jon would speak to me though God
and he did so on that Thursday night I committed my life to missions or to
be a missionary. Once I had done this I felt this great peace and my youth
group encouraged and prayed for me and I just felt so loved like never
before. (more)
